FLORENCE, Ky. - Oh, say can you sing' The Florence Freedom will hold their annual National Anthem auditions this Saturday April 30 at the Home of the Freedom. The free auditions will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. and the singing starts at 10 a.m.

The Freedom have found many talented performers throughout the tri-state in past seasons and hope to find five talented singers for the 2011 season.

Over the years, there have been a few epic National Anthem failures, including gold medalist Carl Lewis, television mom Roseanne Barr and most recently, Christina Aguilera at this year's Super Bowl. The Freedom are determined to avoid these debacles at all costs and have hired a cast of judges rivaling Randy, Paula and Simon to select only the best 'Banner belters in the tri-state area. So come on out Saturday for your chance to make a dream come true.

The Florence Freedom Professional Baseball team is a member of the independent Frontier League. The Freedom's 2011 home opener will be on May 24th, kicking off a schedule of 48 home games through September 1st. Freedom games offer "so much more than baseball", including post-game bands, fireworks, giveaways, discounted tickets, food and drink specials and promotional nights. Freedom 2011 single game tickets are on sale now and can be ordered online at www.florencefreedom.com or by calling the Freedom's front office at (859) 594-HITS (4487).
