Fresno FC News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno FC announced Wednesday that the club has received striker Myer Bevan on a short-term loan from Major League Soccer affiliate Vancouver Whitecaps FC through the end of 2018.

"Myer has shown potential since signing with us," Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson said. "He's a hard working young player who already has international experience for his country. He will benefit from getting game time and he will be working with terrific coaches down in Fresno. We will keep a close eye on his progression."

The 21-year-old joins the Foxes on the day of the MLS Transfer Deadline and will look to help Fresno FC (7W-8L-9D) in its push for the USL Cup Playoffs.

Bevan, who signed a first-team contract in December 2017, recently spent three months on loan with Swedish Division 1 Södra club Husqvarna FF, recording two goals, five starts, and nine appearances across all competitions.

The 6-foot striker spent the 2017 season in the USL with Whitecaps FC 2, where he finished with three goals in 11 starts and 13 appearances.

The native of New Zealand, who also holds Canadian citizenship, has two goals and six caps for the Kiwis in international competition.

As part of the agreement with Whitecaps FC, Fresno FC may sign players to USL contracts, while all players on the roster will be monitored and evaluated for MLS opportunities, as well as call-ups on the USL Short Term Agreement.
