Forward Madison FC couldn't get the job done Saturday night, falling 0-1 to the Richmond Kickers at Breese Stevens Field. Although the Flamingos fed off the energy from a fervent crowd of 4,510, it wasn't enough to maintain the team's club-record three-match winning streak.

The Kickers scored the lone goal of the game in the 69th minute, with forward Daniel Jackson finishing off a deflection from a forward Madison defender. Jackson, a veteran who has been playing in the U.S. lower divisions since 2014, had just come on as a substitute before scoring the goal.

With its loss, Forward Madison FC has now dropped out of the USL League One playoff positions and down to sixth place.

Forward Madison will return to USL League One action next Saturday as it travels to South Carolina to take on Greenville Triumph SC. The Flamingos won't have to wait long to seek revenge on the Kickers, as they host them again in two weeks' time on Saturday, Aug. 24.
