Forward Madison Offering Team-Signed Watermelons to Fans

Forward Madison FC is selling a limited number of team-autographed watermelons to celebrate National Watermelon Day in advance of its home game against FC Tucson this Saturday. The signed watermelons represent just part of the Flamingos' festivities, which will also include an individual ticket package made up of a watermelon cocktail and a tank top.

FMFC's watermelon promotion has drawn praise from across the country since it launched on Monday, with fans calling it "phenomenal," "genius," "amazing," "the greatest promotion by an American soccer team ever" and "the greatest thing to happen to sports."

Groups of four or more fans can get their team-autographed watermelon (which also includes tickets to Saturday's game, hot dogs and soda) at https://groupmatics.events/event/Fullmelon.

Forward Madison currently sits in fourth place in USL League One, occupying the league's final playoff spot with ten matches to play. The Flamingos beat Toronto FC 2-1 on the road Wednesday, and have lost just one of their last eight matches.
