Forward Madison Fans to Name New Henry Vilas Zoo Flamingo

Forward Madison fans will have the chance to name one of Henry Vilas Zoo's new flamingos in an online contest, the team announced Tuesday.

The Zoo revealed on Monday that it will be adding five American flamingos to its flock, prompting an outpouring of Forward Madison-related naming suggestions. As a result, FMFC has partnered with Henry Vilas Zoo to offer fans the chance to formally suggest names for one of the flamingos.

Fans with name ideas can submit their suggestions on Forward Madison's website to be narrowed down to a final public vote. The winner of the contest will receive a prize, while the flamingo will have a pink leg band tied to it so fans can identify it.

Forward Madison finished fourth in its inaugural USL League One season in 2019, drawing a league-best 4,292 fans per match.
