An energetic performance from the UW-Madison team in the first half gave a good impression for the local university team while at the other end Josiah Trimmingham showed off his skills playing up front instead of his usual defender position.

The Flamingos came close first with a well struck shot from distance striking the left post from Alex Welch. At the other end, Phil Breno snuffed out a good chance from UW-Madison with a scrambling save.

Early in the second half in the 48th minute Justin Sukow scored for Forward Madison to put the Flamingos up by one! In the 83rd minute UW's Jack Finnegan poked home from 5 yards after a good cross was deflected into his path by a Forward defender trying to clear the danger without putting the ball into the back of his own net.

Up next at Breese Stevens, Forward Madison welcomes current 4th placed team South Georgia Tormenta FC this Saturday, August the 14th.
