Forward Madison Adds to Attack with Noah Fuson Signing

Forward Madison FC has signed 20-year-old Noah Fuson, adding a boost to its offense at the quarter-season mark. Fuson, who can play as either a striker or a winger, joins the Flamingos on his first professional contract.

According to Head Coach Daryl Shore, Fuson's speed will give FMFC an extra element to use on the attack.

"We're excited to add Noah to our group and we think he's going to add another dimension to our ability to score goals and stretch defenses," Shore said. "He has a really good knack for the goal and he's scored some really good ones in training."

Fuson grew up in Los Angeles, but moved to the i2i Soccer Academy in England after high school to focus on starting a professional career. Prior to signing with the Flamingos, Fuson had earned trials with Sacramento Republic FC and Loudon United FC of the USL Championship.

"I kept my head up, kept working and had faith that a team would come through," Fuson said. "I came in [to Forward Madison] and from the first day, with the energy and the people that were here, I already felt at home. I felt like I could definitely see myself playing here."

Even as the world was shutting down, Fuson continued to improve himself, training in his backyard and doing home workouts while searching for an opportunity to play. Fuson trained with the Flamingos for two weeks before becoming a permanent member of the team. With his contract signed, Fuson said he's ready to show Forward fans what he can do.

"I'm a guy who likes to dribble at players, attack, be creative, do some skills, entertain the fans and put on a show," he said. "I'm really happy to be here. I'm excited to get started."

Forward Madison currently sits seventh in USL League One, three points off the league's two playoff places. The Flamingos travel to play the current occupant of second place, Union Omaha, this Wednesday at 7 p.m.
