Seattle Reign FC News Release
TACOMA, WASH. - Reign FC forward Kiersten Dallstream has announced her retirement from professional soccer with immediate effect.
"Kiersten has been an important part of this team since our inaugural season," said Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski. "We're grateful for all of her contributions over the years and wish her the very best going forward."
Dallstream, a Washington State University product, began her professional career after being drafted in 2010 with the 9th overall pick by the Los Angeles Sol of the WPS. Dallstream was then selected by Sky Blue FC in the 2010 WPS Dispersal Draft, where she made twelve appearances. In April 2011, Dallstream was traded to the Boston Breakers, where she made four appearances for the Breakers during the 2011 WPS season.
"Kiersten will be missed at the Reign," said Reign FC midfielder Jess Fishlock. "She's an original and has been here since the very beginning. She has always been great for the group and a friend to me. She gave her all every day. I will personally miss her a lot and I want her to know that the Reign will never forget her part in its journey. I wish her nothing but great things for her future."
Dallstream originally signed with Reign FC on March 28, 2013. Over seven NWSL seasons Dallstream made 74 appearances for Reign FC, including 31 starts. She scored one goal in 3,117 minutes of play and helped the club win the NWSL Shield in 2014 and 2015.
"It is difficult to imagine our organization without Kiersten," said Reign FC owner and president Bill Predmore. "As one of our originals she's been with us through the good times and the bad, and has always been ready to do whatever was needed for the team. She will be missed."
