Elmira Jackals News Release
Once again the Jackals went on the road, outshot their opponents, and yet failed to win the hockey game. Elmira led in shots, 32-29, but did not find the net, courtesy of Komets goaltender Kevin St. Pierre. The shutout for St. Pierre was his 5th of the season.
Kevin Kotyluk scored twice in the first period, Steve Rodberg and David-Andre Beauregard struck in frame two, and Danny Stewart capped off the night with a goal in the third.
Jackals goaltender Ryan McIntosh made some phenomenal saves in the contest, stopping 24-of-29 in the lost in front of 7,775 fans at the Allan County War Memorial Coliseum.
The Jackals returned to Elmira following the game for a Saturday night matchup with the Richmond Riverdogs, 7pm at the First Arena.
