Fort Lauderdale was 4-4-2 all-time versus the Puerto Rico Islanders in NASL play. The Islanders competed in NASL for the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

What to watch for Wednesday...

* With a win on Wednesday the Strikers would climb to within one point of fourth place Minnesota in the NASL combined table. The top four teams make the NASL postseason. * The Strikers had a seven game unbeaten streak snapped in Saturday's 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay. The streak was the second longest in Strikers history * Maicon Santos has scored in two of his last three game for Fort Lauderdale. * The Strikers signed former Jacksonville Armada FC midfielders Junior Sandova l and Pascal Millien last week. Millien started and played 90 minutes against Tampa Bay while Sandoval was a second half sub. * In 2011, the Strikers overcame Puerto Rico FC's predecessor club the Puerto Rico Islanders 5-2 on aggregate in an NASL playoff series. Included in that series was the Strikers 3-1 win at Estadio Juan Ramî"n Loubriel. * All-time the Strikers have a 1-2-2 record on the island of Puerto Rico in NASL play.
