
Former Wings Help Concordia-M'Head to Title

Over the weekend, the Concordia-Moorhead Cobbers won the prestigious PrimeLink Shootout Tournament against the undefeated No. 2 Norwich College. Concordia became the first invited team in 17 years to win the tournament, thanks to some help from former Aberdeen Wings players.
In game one of the tournament, Concordia defeated Middlebury 4-3 with two goals from former Wings forward Jon Grebosky (F-Pittsburgh, PA). On his second goal of the night, he was assisted by fellow former Wings forward Zach Doerring (F-Chanhassen, MN).
Grebosky is in his freshman year at Concordia-Moorhead, where he has scored a total 6 goals and 1 assist in 10 games. In his time with the Aberdeen Wings, Grebosky played in 104 games scoring 25 goals and 48 assists. He also played 32 games for the Corpus Christi Ice Rays in the NAHL, and 14 games for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL.
Doerring is also in his freshman year at Concordia-Moorhead and has tallied 3 assists so far this season. Doerring played in 62 games for the Wings scoring 8 goals and 17 assists. Other former Aberdeen Wings playing for Concordia-Moorhead include Sam Coburn (2012-2013), Alex Koopmeiners (2010-2011), and Jordyn Kaufer (2012-2013). *-Dates indicate seasons with the Wings
