
Former Thunderbirds Invited to Elite Mini-Camp

RIO RANCHO, NM, June 8, 2010 - The New Mexico Thunderbirds announced today that three former Thunderbirds have been invited to participate in an Elite Mini-Camp hosted by the NBA Development League in Virginia this week: Shooting guard Antoine Agudio and small forwards Yaroslav Korolev and Shane Edwards. A total of 30 players will participate in drills and scrimmage in front of NBA scouts with the hopes of securing spots on summer league or training camp rosters. The Elite Mini-Camp is being held in conjunction with the NBA D-League National Tryout at Hoops Magic on Saturday and Sunday. Shane Edwards is also expected to play for the Denver Nuggets in the Vegas Summer League this year. Edwards is a 6-foot-7 forward for the Thunderbirds, who averaged 12.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in 39 game and shot 63% from the field during the 2009-10 season.
THUNDERBIRDS TO HOST NBA FINALS PARTY AT TURTLE MOUNTAIN BREWING COMPANY THURSDAY, JUNE 10, 2010
The New Mexico Thunderbirds will host a party for Game 4 of the NBA Finals at the Turtle Mountain Brewing Company Thursday night, beginning at 6 p.m. (game time is 7 p.m. MST). Fans can join the T-Birds staff to watch the Lakers take on the Celtics, enjoy complimentary hors d'oeuvres and have the opportunity to win Thunderbirds gear as well as save on season ticket special offers.
