Green Bay Blizzard News Release

Green Bay, WI – The Green Bay Blizzard are excited to announce that former Green Bay Packers linebacker Brian Noble will take over the Blizzard head coaching position. The vacant position drew interest from across the country, with the organization receiving over 50 resumes.

His professionalism, dedication, leadership and passion for the game of football made Noble the obvious choice.

"Fans will remember the fiery intensity Noble displayed on the field while playing for the Packers. I'm certain that the same passion for football will be displayed by Coach Noble as he leads the Green Bay Blizzard into the 2004 season", says Blizzard GM Deb Barlament.

Noble stated, "I will tap every resource that I have to find players across the country that can play football."

Noble was the Packers 5th round selection in the 1985 college draft from Arizona State. Noble manned the linebacker position for the Packers from 1985-1993 before a knee injury ended his career. Noble led the Packers in tackles 4 times during his career. Noble has since been active in the outdoors, doing various hunting and fishing shows as well as covering the Packers on local radio.

Noble will appoint the rest of his coaching staff within the next few weeks.
