
Former Mallard Robitaille makes NHL debut

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- Former United Hockey League (UHL) player Louis Robitaille made his NHL debut with the Washington Capitals on Tuesday, February 7th. He played nearly seven minutes in Washington's 5-0 loss to the Florida Panthers and tallied five penalty minutes after receiving a fighting major. Robitaille was called-up from the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) earlier in the day.
The 23-year-old native of Montreal, Quebec began his professional career in the United Hockey League during the 2003-04 season when he played two games for the Quad City Mallards. He recorded one assist and ten penalty minutes before signing with the Portland Pirates (AHL) for the remainder of the season.
