
Former Lightning players invade NBA camps

Rockford, IL. NBA Training Camps opened this week, and there are 65 CBA Alumni in attendance, including nine former Lightning players. Some faces Rockford Fans might recognize from the past are Earl Boykins (Denver), Terrance Shannon (Detroit), Mike James (Milwaukee), Brandon Williams (Milwaukee), Howard Eisley (Phoenix), Gino Carlisle (Portland), and Bruce Bowen (San Antonio).
Two players from last season's Lightning roster are also in NBA camps this month. Long Distance and CBA All-Star, Jimmie "Snap" Hunter is in camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers. "Bull-turned-Bolt-turned-Bull" Linton Johnson can swap Rockford stories with Bruce Bowen: Linton is in camp with the San Antonio Spurs.
"We wish all the best to the former Lightning players in camp right now," says Bolt Head Coach Chris Daleo, "the door is always open for them to return, but we hope to se them on television all season and wish them the best as the fulfill their dreams of playing in the NBA."
