
Former Husky Leyritz signs with Shock

The Spokane Shock announced today that OL/DL Brandon Leyritz has been assigned to its 2007 roster.
Leyritz, 6'3" 315, is coming into camp as a rookie to the af2. A Bellevue, WA native, Leyritz played for the University of Washington as a walk on in 2001. He continued his career playing on the offensive line at both center and at guard earning two letters while playing from 2002-2005.
"Part of the appeal of a player like Brandon is his versatility - he can play a few different positions which is very valuable in this league," Head Coach Adam Shackleford explained. "I know that he had quite a few teams that wanted to sign him so I'm happy that we were able to bring him to Spokane."
The Shock's roster now stands at ten players signed for the first season under Shackleford. The Shock will begin their quest to defend the Championship on Saturday, March 31st as they host the Stockton Lightning at the Spokane Arena at Northern Quest Casino Field.
