
Former Coyote standout Muller makes Skyforce roster

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Nov. 18, 2005)-Former South Dakota men's basketball standout Josh Mueller (Hartford, S.D.) has made the opening day roster for the defending Continental Basketball Association (CBA) champion Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Mueller, a 5-11, 180-pound point guard who signed with the Skyforce (www.skyforceonline.com) as a free agent, left USD as the school's career leader in assists (801), steals (258) and career three-point field goals (308).
He finished his career second in scoring (1994) at USD and was twice selected as a Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year finalist and was twice named to the Daktronics All-Region team. In 2004-05, Mueller ranked third in the league in scoring at 18.8 points per game and averaged 4.5 assists. Mueller scored 60 points in the NCC/Wells Fargo Finals and was one of three Coyotes (Trofholz, Luke Tibbetts) named to the All-NCC Wells Fargo Finals Tournament Team. He was also selected to the North Central All-Region Team after the Coyotes advanced to the regional finals.
Mueller, who was named All-NCC as a freshman, sophomore and senior, owns three of the top-10 single season assist marks (1st, 246 in 2003-04; 2nd, 227 in 2002-03; 7th, 180 in 2001-02) and three of the top 10 single season steal marks (3rd, 76 in 2003-04; T-7th, 63 in 2004-05; T-9th, 60 in 2002-03). He now has 100 career double digit scoring games, and 20 double doubles. He scored a career-high of 36 point vs. Tampa on 11/28/03. He also has a career-best of 16 assists vs. Northern Colorado on Feb. 2, 2002; and 11 rebounds vs. Nebraska-Omaha on Jan. 23, 2003 and Morningside on Dec. 16, 2004. Twice, he has made seven three-pointers in a game.
