Former Ads Peverley, Hamhuis Compete for the Stanley Cup

Milwaukee, WI-As the Stanley Cup Finals begin one former Admiral will have their name etched on hockey's most hallowed prize as Rich Peverley and the Boston Bruins battle Dan Hamhuis and the Vancouver Canucks
Peverley is the most-seasoned former Admiral of the two, having played in 176 games over three seasons from 2005-2008. The Guelph, ON native helped Milwaukee to the Calder Cup Finals in his rookie campaign and led the team in scoring during the 2006-07 season, averaging more than a point per game with 68 points in 66 contests. Peverley was traded from the Atlanta Thrashers to the Bruins this season and totaled seven points on four goals and three assists with Boston in 23 regular season contests to go with eight points (2g-6a) in 18 playoff contests.
In his first season with the Canucks, Hamhuis has skated in all 18 playoff contests, tallying a goal and five assists in the process, after posting 23 points (6g-17a) in 64 games during the regular season. The Smithers, BC native spent two seasons with the 2002-03 and 2004-05 seasons with the Admirals, part of eight years he was a member of the Nashville organization. In those two years he totaled 78 points on 19 goals and 59 assists in 144 contests and finished second on the team in scoring in 04-05 with 51 points.
Either Peverley or Hamhuis will become the 12th former Admiral to capture Lord Stanley's Cup. The last to do it was Mark Eaton, who was a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins when they won it all in 2009.
