
Forge FC Loan in Canadian Matteo Schiavoni from CF Montreal

Forge FC announced Wednesday, the club has signed Canadian midfielder Matteo Schiavoni on loan from MLS side CF Montreal for the 2024 Canadian Premier League season.
Schiavoni, 18, joins Forge FC from MLS side CF Montreal. The versataille midfielder spent time in the youth system of CF Montreal before signing for its sister club Bologna FC of the Italian Serie A at the age of 17. Matteo would go on to make 29 appearances in the youth setup of Bologna recording two goals and three assists over two seasons with the club (2022-2023). Internationally, Schiavoni represented Canada at the under-20 level at the Concacaf Men's Under-20 Qualifiers. The native of Quebec, has now signed for CF Montreal and will join Forge FC on loan.
