Calgary, AB - The match between Forge FC and Cavalry FC was as intense as ever with Forge salvaging a point in the closing minutes of the match. Cavalry took an early lead in the match going up 1-0 in the 9th minute with a finish from Ali Musse. The rest of the match saw Forge dominating possession of the ball but failing to find the back of the net until the 90+4th minute when Captain Kyle Bekker whipped an in-swinging cross ball into the box finding striker Jordan Hamilton who deflected the ball pass Marco Carducci and into the back of the net.
Forge FC remain in first place in the Canadian Premier League with a total of 16 points.
KEY POINTS:
Jordan Hamilton - Scored his third goal of the season making him the club's top scorer on the season.
Kyle Bekker - Assisted Forge FC's lone goal. Bekker remains the club's top assist leader on the season with 3 and giving him a total of 17 assists all-time with Forge FC.
Forge FC finished the match with a total of 59.3%.
Forge had played a total of 4 games in 10 days not having more than 4 days of rest between each match. Forge will now have a 7 day break till its next match on June 10.
Forge FC had an expected goal rating of 0.88 compared to Cavalry FC's 0.55.
