
Force Wins First Game At Pre-Season Tournament

MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The Cleveland Force opened the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Easter Seals Pre-Season Classic by defeating the Monterrey Fury 5-0 this afternoon at the U.S. Cellular Arena. The tournament featured two 24-minute running clock halves.
The Force opened the scoring (1-0) when defender Ryan Hall stole the ball and then took the ball across the field before taking the shot that found the back of the net. Cleveland added to its lead and scored the final points of the first half when (2-0) when forward Craig Kench scored the goal off the assist from forward Myles Stoddard.
The Force opened the second half scoring (3-0) when midfielder Kyle Widder found the back of the net off the cross from forward Adauto Neto. Cleveland kept up the scoring attack (4-0) when Kench scored his second goal of the game off the pass from defender Glenn Sullivan. The Force added to its lead (5-0) when forward Chris Dore found the back of the net off the second assist of the game for Neto.
The Force will play two games on Saturday in the final day of the tournament. Cleveland will face the Dallas Sidekicks at 1:00 p.m. and then will conclude the tournament against the host Milwaukee Wave at 3:00 p.m.
