FLOWERY BRANCH, GA- Monday, the 2005 National Conference Champions continued preparation for the 2006 holding the first practice of the day at 9 a.m. and the second practice at 2:30 p.m. at Flowery Branch.

The hard work and determination of the team has been evident everyday in camp and today it paid off for the defense. The defense was able to deflect several passes, put pressure on the quarterback and create their first turnovers of camp in the afternoon practice. The defense created their first turnover of camp when WR/DB Rob Carey made a leaping interception in the corner of the end zone during skeleton drills. The defensive continued to be a disruptive force during the team portion of practice. The session began with the team working on red zone situations and the defense making big plays. Moments into the drill DS Nate Coggins extended to deflect a pass intended for OS Chris Jackson and the defense continued to make plays as WR/LB Carl Morris made a leaping one-handed interception inside the 10-yard line a few plays later.
