
Force To Face Heat and Comets In Weekend Action

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force will play the Harrisburg Heat and the Kansas City Comets this weekend. The Force will take on the Heat, tonight, Friday, January 10th on Otto Orf Bobble Head Night at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. The game tonight is scheduled to start at 7:35 p.m. Cleveland will then travel to Kansas City, Missouri to face the Comets on Saturday, January 11th at the Kemper Arena. The game is scheduled to start at 9:05 p.m. and will be aired on WUAB TV-43.
The Force and the Heat will meet for the third time this season. Harrisburg and Cleveland have each won one game as the home team has posted the victory in the previous two meetings. In the first meeting of the season on November 22nd, Cleveland recorded a MISL season-high 23 points as the Force defeated the Heat 23-12 at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. In the second game, Harrisburg notched a goal in the final minutes to secure the 14-13 win on December 7th in the Farm Show Arena.
Cleveland and Kansas City will also meet for the third time this season on Saturday. The two teams have each posted a win on the opponent's home field. On November 30th, the Force defeated the Comets by a final score of 21-15 at Kemper Arena. In the second meeting, Kansas City posted a 17-6 victory at the Convocation Center on December 28th.
Cleveland enters the contest after posting a record of 1-1 last weekend. The Force defeated the Dallas Sidekicks 16-8 at the Convocation Center on Friday night and then fell to the Baltimore Blast 15-6 on Saturday in Baltimore. Cleveland currently sits in second place in the MISL Eastern Conference trailing the Philadelphia KiXX by 5.5 games. The Force is 3-5 versus Eastern Conference opponents and is 5-1 at the friendly confines of the Convocation Center at CSU.
Harrisburg comes into the game after falling to the Kansas City Comets 20-14 last Saturday at the Farm Show Arena. The Heat is in third place in the Eastern Conference trailing Cleveland by 1.5 games for second place and the KiXX by 7.0 games for first place. Harrisburg is 4-6 versus Eastern Conference opponents and is 2-6 on the road this season.
Kansas City will play host to the Milwaukee Wave on Friday, January 10th at Kemper Arena. The Comets are on a four game winning streak heading into the game with the Wave. Kansas City posted a 20-14 win over the Harrisburg Heat in its only game last week. The Comets are currently in second place in the MISL Western Conference and trails Milwaukee by 3.5 games for first place. Kansas City is 1-5 at home and 5-3 versus Eastern Conference opponents.
