CLEVELAND, OHIO - Cleveland Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo today announced the team has signed Vermilion resident and former Bowling Green State University and Lorain Catholic High School standout Chris Dore (Door-A) to a one-year plus an option year contract. Per Club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"It is always great when we are able to add local talent to our team. Chris, although still learning the indoor game has made good progress and should contribute this weekend," stated Garofolo.
Dore, a 25-year old forward, will make his Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and Force debut this season. Dore has played for the Charleston Battery and Cincinnati Riverhawks of the A-League. During his career in the A-League, Chris has recorded three goals and added one assist for a total of seven points. While at Bowling Green, Dore was a four-year letter winner and starter. Chris earned All-American, All-Mid American Conference (MAC), All-Ohio and All-Midwest honors. Dore currently ranks sixth all-time in Bowling Green History and fifth in the MAC in points scored with 75. He also finished with 23 assists and 26 goals, which ranks him sixth and seventh respectively all-time in the MAC.
