CLEVELAND, OHIO - Cleveland Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo today announced the team has agreed to terms with midfielder Connally Edozien (Con-Ah-Lee Eh-Dose-E-N) to a five-game or 15-day contract. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Connally caught our eye during the pre-season with his speed and ability to go directly at a defender and take him on as he went to goal. He will clearly be an asset at the offensive end of the field and after time will catch on to the other important nuances of the game primarily in the defensive end of the field," commented Garofolo.

Edozien, a 27-year old native of London, England, will make his Cleveland Force and Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) debut this Friday versus the Philadelphia KiXX at the Convocation Center. Connally recently played for the Cincinnati Excite in the American Indoor Soccer League (AISL) and faced the Force in two exhibition games.

Edozien has played internationally for clubs FV Dresden Nord in Dresden, Germany and the Sporting Club Bastia (French First Division) in Bastia, France. Connally was a member of the Nigeria U-15 and U-17 National Teams.

Edozien attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida and was tabbed Florida Sun Conference Player of the Year and the Regional XIV Player of the Year in 1999 and 2000. Connally was a four-time All-Region and All-Conference selection as well as an All-American. He finished his career as the all-time leader in points at Embry Riddle.

In addition to his playing career, Edozien served as an assistant coach with the Middle Tennessee State University women's soccer team this past fall. Edozien also has served as the head trainer of the Star Soccer Academy in Cincinnati, and has a NSCAA Advanced National Coaching diploma.

In other news, the Force activated forward Adauto Neto from the injured reserve list and waived midfielder Adam Campellone for the termination of his contract.
