
Force signs former Univ. of Illinois All-American

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH., OCTOBER 16, 2002 â Today, the Force signed former University of Illinois All-American Erin Borske to the 2003 roster. Borske is the first player from the 2003 USPV National Athlete Tryout Camp to be signed.
Borske will be featured on the new television show, Life Moments, airing October 17 on NBC and weekday evenings at 6:00 on the Hallmark Channel. Life Moments is a new hour-long syndicated television show that celebrates real women as they face incredible, empowering moment in their lives.
The Life Moments crew followed Borske's journey to become a professional volleyball athlete as she participated in the 2003 USPV National Athlete Tryout Camp. The segment, entitled "Going Pro", was filmed in Chicago this past July at Borske's south suburban Chicago residence and at the USPV tryout camp, which attracted 109 world-class volleyball athletes from around the world.
Borske was a first-team All-American at Illinois, named Big-10 Freshman of the Year in 1994 and had 1,185 collegiate kills.
Training camp for the Force begins Thursday, December 12, with the first home match scheduled for January 25.
