
DeBolt And Stonebarger Sign With Force

Grand Rapids, Mich., 6 November 2002 â The Grand Rapids Force today announced the signing of former Chicago Thunder setter Courtney DeBolt and former University of Nevada libero Suzanne Stonebarger.
DeBolt (Buffalo Grove, Ill., Michigan State), who was one of three setters for the Thunder in 2002, attended Michigan State University with Force middle blocker Val Sterk. Prior to signing with Chicago, DeBolt coached at the collegiate level at Marquette University (1999-2001), trained with the U.S. National Team (1998-1999) and played professionally in Ommen, Netherlands (1997-1998).
At Michigan State, DeBolt was an Asics/Volleyball Honorable Mention All-American selection in 1995, holds the MSU record for most assists in a match (86) and ranks second in MSU history in assists (3,773).
Stonebarger (Stockton, Calif.) holds the UNR all-time dig record (1,532), is ranked 3rd in career kills (1,198) and broke Nevada records in single game digs (38) and most digs in a season (417).
In addition to training with the U.S. National Team, Stonebarger was also named to the Big West All Conference team, Big West All-Freshman team, and WAC All-Conference team. As part of the Nike USA Team she was named Libero MVP at the Sibillini Tournament held annually in Italy.
