Force Re-Signs Middle Blocker Chapman

Grand Rapids, Mich., 31 October 2002 – The Grand Rapids Force announced a pair of roster moves today, including the re-signing of middle blocker Cristy Chapman(Newton, Ill., University of Illinois).
Chapman, one of five founding athletes in USPV, averaged 2.3 points and 1.8 kills per game for the Force last season. Her commitment to the West Michigan community earned her one of the USPV's Outstanding Community Service Awards in 2002.
The club also announced the signing of former Chicago Thunder outside hitter Krystal Osborne (Las Vegas, Nev., University of Arkansas).
Osborne averaged 1.9 points, 1.5 kills and 1.1 digs per game for Chicago last season.
Training camp for the Force begins Thursday, December 12. The first home match is scheduled for Saturday, January 25 at the DeltaPlex against the Minnesota Chill.
