
Force set to Sock San Diego in Thursday action

CLEVELAND, OHIO -- The Cleveland Force will travel to San Diego, California to take on the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Western Division San Diego Sockers on a Thursday, March 11. The game will mark the fourth and final regular season meeting between the teams this season. Cleveland leads the season series 3-0 and holds an 8-0 advantage over the Sockers in the last two seasons.

The Force comes match-up with a record of 9-19 overall, 5-5 versus Western
Conference opponents and 4-10 on the road. Cleveland split a pair of games
last weekend by posting a win against the St. Louis Steamers on Saturday by
a final score of 6-2 but then fell to the Monterrey Fury on Sunday in
overtime by a final of 5-4. The Force currently is in third place in the
Eastern Division 7.5 games behind the Philadelphia KiXX for second and 12
games behind the Baltimore Blast for first. San Diego enters the game on a four game losing streak and with a record of
11-17 overall, 2-7 versus Eastern Division opponents and 9-5 at home. The
Sockers dropped two road games last weekend to the Blast and KiXX by final
scores of 9-8 and 7-6 respectively. San Diego is currently in second place
in the Western Division five games behind the Dallas Sidekicks for first and
two games ahead the Monterrey Fury for third.
