Force Set To Cool Heat in Key Eastern Conference Game

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Force will be back in action this weekend to play two crucial contests at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. On Friday, February 21st, the Force will look to keep their winning streak alive in a Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Eastern Conference game against the Harrisburg Heat; action is set to begin at 7:35pm.

The game between the Force and Heat will mark the fifth of six meetings between these two teams. The season series is tied 2-2, each team being victorious on their home turf. The last time these two teams met was back on January 25th in Harrisburg, as the Heat prevailed 17-10.

Cleveland enters this crucial game after handing the San Diego Sockers an overtime loss. The win gave the Force their first victory in the extra session, improving their record to a 13-14 mark. The Force was scheduled to play in Dallas last Sunday but due to inclement weather, they were forced to reschedule the game for Tuesday, March 4th at Reunion Arena in Dallas. Within the Eastern Conference, the Force are currently trailing the first place Philadelphia KiXX by seven games and are currently setting in second place, holding on to the second out of three playoff spots.

Harrisburg comes into this weekend's non-conference match dropping its lone game it played last weekend. On Saturday February 15th, the Heat traveled to Milwaukee and fell to the Wave by a score of 18-10. The Heat is looking to notch the final playoff spot trailing the Baltimore Blast by one game and the Force by two games.
