Georgia Force News Release
Dallas, TX- The Georgia Force fell to the Dallas Desperados, 62-27, to end Georgia's season. Dallas closed out the game by scoring 28 consecutive points. The Force's WR/LB Derek Lee led the team in receiving by recording eight catches for 81 yards and three touchdowns in Georgia's final game of the season.
At the end of the first quarter, Dallas led Georgia, 14-6. Desperados QB Clint Dolezel connected with OS Terrill Shaw from 12 yards out for the first score of the game. Georgia's QB Matt Nagy answered the Dallas score by finding WR/LB Jamin Elliott on a 24-yard touchdown pass. Dallas scored the final points of the quarter on a three-yard run by FB/LB Josh White.
Georgia trailed Dallas at the end of the first half, 34-20. The Force began the quarter driving the ball inside of the red zone when Nagy's pass intended for WR/LB Derek Lee was intercepted by WR/LB Jason Shelley. Shelley capped off the Desperados drive with a two-yard touchdown reception, extending the Dallas lead to, 20-6. Georgia rebounded after the turnover with a six-yard touchdown pass from Nagy to Lee. White scored Dallas' fourth touchdown of the game on an 11-yard screen pass from Dolezel. The Force quickly answered as Nagy distributed a 40-yard bomb to Lee. Shaw scored on an 11-yard pass from Dolezel extending the Desperados lead to 14 points, 34-20, at the end of the half.
Dallas outscored Georgia for the third straight quarter, witch gave the Desperados a, 48-27, lead at the end of the third quarter. Lee scored the first points of the quarter on a nine-yard pass from Nagy. Dallas answered Georgia's score when Dolezel found Shaw from 34 yards out. On the Force's ensuing possession OS Chris Jackson fumbled a pitch from Nagy, which was recovered by the Desperados OL/DL Colston Weatherington. Dallas capitalized on the turnover when Dolezel hit Shelley from seven yards out, extending the Desperados lead to 21 points.
Georgia was held scoreless in the final quarter as they fell to the Desperados, 62-27. Dallas scored twice in the quarter, once to Shaw from 27 yards out and the final score to WR/LB Dialleo Burks on a two-yard pass from Dolezel.
