Georgia Force News Release

FLOWERY BRANCH, GA, June 30, 2005 - The Georgia Force announced today that the team has re-signed offensive/defensive linemen Adam Metts and Dary Myricks and wide receiver/defensive back Nick Ward. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.

With the addition of these three signings, the Force currently have 21 players plus three other league exempt players under contract for the 2006 season. Under Arena Football League rules, teams had until today, June 30th, to resign their own free agents. Beginning in September, any unsigned veteran free agents are free to negotiate with any team.

METTS (6-1, 280, North Carolina) enjoyed a breakout season in 2005 with a career-high 10 tackles, one pass break-up and one blocked PAT in 15 games. During the Force's run to ArenaBowl XIX, the three-year veteran registered three tackles and a blocked field goal in the postseason.

MYRICKS (6-4, 270, Citadel) will be returning for his third season with the Force in 2006. Last season, he played in nine games and recorded two tackles and two pass break-ups. Over his six-year AFL career, Myricks has posted 66 tackles, 4.5 sacks, four pass break-ups and two forced fumbles. He has contributed on offensive as well with four catches for 49 yards.

WARD (5-11, 180, Miami, FL) appeared in five games in 2005 before a knee injury ended his season early. On the year, he made seven receptions for 58 yards and collared 8.5 tackles and two pass break-ups. A five-year veteran, Ward has 83 catches for 964 yards and 13 touchdowns and 124.5 and four interceptions over his career.

The National Conference and Southern Division Champion Georgia Force concluded the 2005 season an AFL best-tying 13-6 record, which included a perfect 10-0 home record at Philips Arena, and an appearance in ArenaBowl XIX. Georgia Force 2006 season ticket packages are on sale now and can be reserved for $50. For more information, call 404-222-5777 or visit www.georgiaforce.com.
