
Force player set for A-League championship

CLEVELAND, OHIO -Cleveland Force forward Joel bailey is getting ready for his first A-League Championship Game when the Eastern Conference Champion Montreal Impact will take on the r the Western Conference Champion Seattle Sounders.
Bailey, who is in his first season in the A-League, will join fellow Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) players Nevio Pizzolitto (San Diego Sockers), Ze Roberto (Philadelphia KiXX), Kevin Sakuda (Sockers), Zach Scott (Sockers) and Mauricio Vincello (KiXX). Bailey, Pizzolitto, Roberto and Vincello all play for the Impact while Sakuda and Scott will be representing the Sounders.
The Impact advanced to the Championship Game for the first time since winning the title in 1994 courtesy of a 1-1 draw Sunday and a 3-1 aggregate score series win over the Syracuse Salty Dogs.
Seattle, the A-League Champions in 1995 and 96, advanced to the Championship Game with a 1-1 with a 2-1 aggregate series win over the Vancouver Whitecaps. The Whitecap's Jason Jordan tied up the Western Conference Final at 1-1 in Vancouver in the 18th minute only to see the Sounders' Jason Farrell hit the series-winner in the 44th for the victory.
The A-League Championship Game will be held on Saturday, September 18 at Montreal's Claude Robillard Sports Complex. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised live on Fox Sports World.
