
Force Makes Two Roster Moves Prior To MISL Roster Freeze Deadline

CLEVELAND, OHIO- Cleveland Force President and General Manager Paul Garofolo announced today that the team made two roster moves prior to the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) roster freeze deadline on Thursday, March 31. The Force placed forward Myles Stoddard on the inactive list and activated head coach Omid Namazi for the remainder of the season.
Stoddard suffered a torn meniscus on January 7 and has not seen action since the game versus the Chicago Storm. Myles underwent successful surgery on February 15 as performed by Doctor Donald Goodfellow of University Hospitals. Stoddard, who is in his third season with the Force, appeared in 11 games this season and recorded four goals, 30 shots and five blocks. The 28-year old native of Reno, Nevada has appeared in 68 games for Cleveland while recording 22 goals and adding six assists for a total of 33 points, including one season of multi-point scoring.
Namazi, who has not played this season for the Force, appeared in 17 games last year while recording two goals, 12 assists and 27 blocks. Omid has guided the team to a 17-15 record and in the process recorded his 100th career coaching victory on the eighth win of the season for the club. In his nine seasons as a player, Namazi has appeared in 263 games while notching 84 goals and adding 250 assists for 421 points. In addition, he has tallied 361 career blocks.
