
Force Forward Scores Goal But Team Comes Up Short

Four Force teammates squared off in an A-League Eastern Division game on Saturday when the Atlanta Silverbacks traveled to Syracuse, New York to take on the Syracuse Salty Dogs. The Silverbacks along with John Ball and Fred DeGand defeated the Salty Dogs and Force forward Chris Dore and defender Ryan Hall by a final score of 2-1.
With the loss, the Salty Dogs fell to 3-4-2 on the season extending their losing streak to four games and is now fifth in the Eastern Division while Atlanta extended its winning streak to five games and improved to 6-3-1.
The two teams battled to a scoreless first half before Dore and the Salty Dogs struck first. Only five minutes into the second half, Dore blasted a bending shot past goalkeeper Anthony Tokpah to give the Dogs a 1-0 lead. The Silverbacks secured the win with two heartbreaking goals late in the second half.
In his first season with Syracuse, Dore has recorded three goals and added five assist for a total of 11 points. The 11 points leads the Salty Dogs and is seventh in the A-League while his five points leads the A-League. Hall, in his second season in Syracuse, has appeared in six games and has yet to record a point.
The Salty Dogs will look to snap their four game losing streak when they will take on the South Jersey Barons on Tuesday, June 15. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
