Kansas City Comets News Release


Kansas City's rookie sensation Jamar Beasley was recently acquired on loan from the Comets to play summer soccer with the Milwaukee Wave United of the A-League. Beasley will be called on to help revive the Wave, who are currently tied for last place in the Western Conference. Beasley, the 2004 MISL Rookie of the Year, recorded his first minutes with the team on Saturday as the Wave United fell to the Seattle Sounders 2-1.

The Wave United's record is 1-5-1, including 0-3 on the road. The outdoor club will have a chance to secure its first points of the season on the road as it visits two Eastern Conference teams this weekend. At 7:05 p.m. on Friday, June 18, the Wave United take on the Virginia Beach Mariners (2-6-2, 8 points) at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. The game can be seen live on Fox Sports World.

The following night, the Wave United face the Richmond Kickers at 6:05 p.m. The Kickers are currently in fourth place in the Eastern Division with a 6-3-3 record. Get scores and game summaries at the Wave United's Web site or at the United Soccer Leagues' Web site.
