Force excites season ticket holders in final preseason tune up

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The Cleveland Force played host and defeated the Cincinnati Excite of the American Indoor Soccer League (AISL) by a final score of 13-4 at the annual Season Ticket Holder Meet the Team scrimmage held at the Force Fitness Institute.

The Force opened the scoring (1-0) when Robbie Aristodemo found the back of the net off a cross from defender Rene Rivas at 3:06 of the first quarter.

Cleveland added to its lead (2-0) when midfielder Adam Campellone scored the goal off the assist from defender Josh Timbers at 3:05 of the second quarter. The Force kept the scoring attack going (3-0) when Sipho Sibiya found the back of the net off the pass from forward Antonio Sutton at 6:26. Cleveland once again found the back of the net (4-0) when Sutton scored the goal off the assist from defender John Ball at 6:50. The Force added to their lead (5-0) when forward Kyt Selaidopoulos scored the restart goal off the pass from Ball at 7:58. Cleveland closed out the first half scoring (6-0) when defender Fred DeGand found the back of the net off the assist from Aristodemo at 9:45.

The Force opened the second half scoring (7-0) when Myles Stoddard tapped in the goal off the cross from Selaidopoulos at 3:23 of the third quarter. Cincinnati scored its first goal (7-1) of the game and snapped a 7-0 run by Cleveland when Matt Breines found the back of the net off the pass from Connally Edozien at 3:50. The Excite cut further into the lead when (7-2) Doug Tegge scored the unassisted goal at 7:26. Cincinnati recorded its third straight goal (7-3) when Jack Cummings found the back of the net at 8:48. The Force snapped the 3-0 run by the Excite (8-3) when forward Mauro Carabajal scored the unassisted goal at 9:47. Cleveland added to its lead (9-3) when Sibiya scored his second goal of the game off the assist from midfielder and team captain Justin Evans at 10:39. Cincinnati cute back into the lead (9-4) when Cummings scored his second goal of the game on a power play off the assist from Breines at 12:40. The Force responded (10-4) when Evans found the back of the net off the pass from Selaidopoulos at 13:40. Cleveland closed out the third quarter scoring (11-4) when Campellone scored his second goal of the game off the third assist of the game for Ball at 14:53.

The Force opened the final quarter scoring (12-4) when Aristodemo scored his second goal of the game off the cross from Sibiya at 1:11. Cleveland closed out the game scoring (13-4) when Chris Dore found the back of the net off a pass from Craig Kench at 7:56.

The Force will open the 2004-05 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) season on Saturday, October 23 when they play host to Eastern Division rival Philadelphia KiXX at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
