Cleveland Force News Release

CLEVELAND, OHIO - The Cleveland Force and University Hospitals of Cleveland will host the first bobblehead night featuring the "Dynamic Duo" of Zoran Karic and Hector Marinaro on Saturday, January 31 as the Force takes on the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Eastern Division Philadelphia KiXX at the Convocation Center at Cleveland State University. The game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m. and the first 2,500 fans age 14 and under will receive a complimentary "Dynamic Duo" Bobblehead courtesy of University Hospitals.

The "Dynamic Duo" Bobblehead is a first of its kind featuring a tandem of this magnitude. During the recent bobblehead craze, no tandem like that of Karic and Marinaro has ever been featured together on the same bobblehead. The "Dynamic Duo" ranks right along the likes of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O 'Neal, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and Wayne Gretsky and Jari Kurri.

Like Kobe and Shaq, Karic and Marinaro have won three World Titles in their careers. The "Dynamic Duo" has earned 17 All-League selections while Jordan and Pippen were tabbed with 18. Karic and Marinaro have combined for 1,969 goals, the most in indoor soccer history while Gretsky and Kurri have combined for 1,495.

Coming into the 2003-04 season, Karic and Marinaro have spent 11 years on the field together. The duo has captured seven league Most Valuable Player Awards and three championships. In the last two seasons in the MISL, the top 20 leading scorers have combined for a total of 3,724 points, 322 shy of the Dynamic Duo's 11-year total. Add to that the fact that 188 of those points belong to Marinaro himself, and you begin to understand the incredible scoring power of the pair.
