FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Force announced several roster moves today in preparation for the second half of the season. Georgia have traded OL/DL Gillis Wilson to the Kansas City Brigade for OL/DL Abdul-Salam Noah and FB/LB Dan Curran.
Curran is a five-year AFL veteran, who has spent time with the New Orleans VooDoo in 2004-05, the Georgia Force in 2002-03 and Nashville in 2001. In four seasons, he has registered 543 yards rushing on 138 carries and 34 touchdowns on the ground. Defensively, Curran has tallied 50.5 tackles, three sacks, two pass defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
A product of San Jose State, Noah will add depth to the Force offensive and defensive lines. In seven games this season, Noah has tallied four tackles, one sack, one pass defensed and one forced fumble. Through his first two seasons in the AFL, Noah has recorded 23 tackles, one sack, two pass defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Wilson had played the last two and a half seasons with the Force. Through eight games this season, Wilson had registered 9.5 tackles, three sacks, one pass defensed and one forced fumble.
