The 2007 MLS SuperDraft introduced Toronto FC fans to a new star in the making. With the first overall draft pick Mo Johnston selected Maryland midfielder Maurice Edu and the accolades soon followed! Edu went on to be named the 2007 Gatorade MLS Rookie of the Year after a stellar first season with TFC which also earned him two senior caps with the U.S. National Team and a spot on its Olympic qualifying squad.
