
Fog Devils invite goaltender for tryout

The St. John's Fog Devils announced today that the club has invited goaltender Matthew Spezza for a try-out. Spezza will practice with the team and will be available for this weekend's games against the Gatineau Olympiques if signed.
The 19 year old native from Mississauga, ON spent last season with the Kingston Frontenacs and Ottawa 67's. This year he has appeared in 3 games with the London Knights, positing an 0-2-0 record. The 6'1, 200lb goaltender is the brother of Ottawa Senators' forward Jason Spezza.
Tickets for the Fog Devils games against the Olympiques on Friday and Saturday are still available at the Mile One Stadium Box Office. Tickets can be paid for by cash, VISA or Mastercard at the Box Office or by phone (576-7657). Tickets can also be purchased online at admission.com.
The St. John's Fog Devils are the newest member of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League and are one of 58 member clubs of the Canadian Hockey League. The franchise began its inaugural season in September.
