Ten game suspension for Christian Landry
November 2, 2005 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, November 2, 2005 (QMJHL) - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's disciplinary committee imposed an automatic ten game suspension today to Baie-Comeau forward Christian Landry.
During last Sunday's Foreurs versus Drakkar game, Mr. Landry came back onto the ice in order to participate in an altercation after having been escorted to his bench by an official. Thus, following League rules, an automatic ten game suspension is warranted.
Before rendering their decision, the disciplinary committee reviewed the video sequence of the incident. The suspension is in effect as of today.
In accordance with the QMJHL's policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
