
Flyers Sweep JackHammers

The Flyers completed the three game sweep of Joliet at Silver Cross Field with a 2-1 win over the JackHammers in front of 7,483 strong.
Josue Lopez provided the offense with a two run homerun to right field in the 2nd inning and RJ Swindle took over from there, giving up just one run on seven hits over seven innings pitched.
The Flyers pitcher were able to shut down the JackHammers offense as Swindle, Jackson and Cotton combined for nine innings, eight hits, one run, and ten strikeouts. The only run given up took place in the bottom of the 3rd inning when Chad Ehrnsbeger doubled in Blake Gill who had got on base through way of a single. From there Flyers pitching only gave up three hits on there way to their eleventh win of the season.
The bullpen continued it's streak with Dan Jackson and Nate Cotton pitching the 8th and 9th innings, not giving up a single run. The bullpen has now pitched 44.0 consecutive scoreless innings.
The Flyers will have the day off tomorrow before taking on the Gary SouthShore RailCats on Friday, June 2, at 7:05. The first 2500 fans will logo baseballs provided by Midwest Bank.
