Peanut Williams crushed a three-run homerun in the 1st inning to give the Flyers the lead for good and led Orange County to a 9-2 win over Yuma.
Reed Dickert twirled seven strong innings and earned his third win to move the Flyers into a third place tie with the Yuma Scorpions.
The Flyers scored three runs in three different innings at Goodwin Field. After his 1st inning homerun, Peanut Williams led the 4th inning off with a double.
He scored on Bret Levier's RBI single and then Mark Okano drove in two runs with a double.
Garry Templeton II highlighted a 6th inning rally with a two-RBI single.
Nick Casanova pitched two scoreless innings of relief.
The Flyers will look to sweep Yuma Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. All the action can be caught on orangecountyflyers.com.
