Flyers lose pitchers duel

The first place Reno Silver Sox took the first game of a three game set with the Fullerton Flyers by the score of a 3-1 Tuesday. Hideki Nagasaka won his first game of the season by throwing six innings and giving up just one run.

Nate Sevier and Scott Schneider combined for three scoreless innings to hold on to the two run lead. Schneider collected his third save of the season.

Chad Chop belted his fourth homerun of the season in the bottom of the 2nd to tie the game at 1-1.

Reno took an early advantage on an RBI double from Philip Grau.

The Silver Sox rallied with two outs on four consecutive singles in the 4th to score the decisive runs.

The rally was started by Evan Sobel and C.J. Lang. The runs were driven in by Victor Hall and Mike Done.

Jeff Groeger threw two hitless innings of relief for Fullerton.

Reno's lead is now four and a half games. The Flyers will try and even the series tomorrow at 7:05 pm.
