LAST TIME:

60 minutes wasn't enough time as Florida and Manchester took it to over time to settle the see-saw battle that saw five lead changes in the game. Eventually it was the ‘Cats coming out on top though with a 32-26 win. Manchester was led by their QB Jake Eaton who completed 29 of 42 for 255 yards 3 TD's and 1 INT, he also ran 5 times for 18yards and a score. His top target was J.J. McKelvey who snared 13 balls for 124 yards and 1TD. Chris Wallace finished the nite 23 of 39 for 167 yards 3 TD's and 2 INT's. The ‘Cats ground game was effective too as they ran the ball 15 times for 51 yards and 2 trips to the endzone including Steve Gorrie's 4 yard TD run to win the game.

MILESTONES:

K- Brandon Kornblue currently has made 37 career field goals, one behind the league leader James Thomas who kicked 38 with Greensboro from 2000-2003.

DROPBACK:

Last Week the Firecats jumped out to a 33-6 lead and looked to be in control early but South Georgia came storming back to take their only lead of the game 40-39 with 4 and a half minutes to go. Chris Wallace tossed his 7th TD of the night when he found Cainon Lamb in the back of the endzone with just 6 seconds to go. The defense had to come up with one last play as they batted a ball away into the stands on the final play.

FORWARD MOTION:

The Firecats will host Macon who they defeated on the final play in week one 35-32. The Knights are currently 2nd in the division behind the ‘Cats. Florida leads the series 6-4.

PLAYERS/MATCHUPS TO WATCH:

QB Jake Eaton vs Florida Secondary:
Eaton has the best passer rating in the league @ 131.2. He has a big physical target in McKelvey and is very careful with the ball as the Wolves are a +16 in turnovers. The ‘Cats D is led by Kelly Snell who ranks #1 in passes defended and #3 in tackles in the league. The game boils down to Ben's "O" against Bouis' "D"

FB/LB Steve Gorrie: Gorrie came up big back in week 2 forcing a turnover on defense in overtime before scoring the game winning TD on offense.
