Firecats Change Kickoff Time For Dad

Estero, FL- The Florida Firecats received approval from the league today to move back this weekend's kickoff time to 8pm as part of their Father's Day celebration. The doors will open at 4:30 Saturday June 18th to give Dad's the chance to hit the field with their kids a little early.

Kids are invited to show their thanks to good ole dad by taking them out for a little war between the walls at Germain Arena in the af2's biggest game of the year. Families are invited to play a game of catch on the field prior to the players taking the field for pre-game warm-ups.

The 1st 2500 fans through the doors will receive Metro PCS Rally Towels plus Metro PCS will have giveaways all night long.

The Boys and Girls Club of Lee County will be holding a raffle to give away Autographed Firecats Memorabilia and other prizes including color TV's. Dad can also register to come onto the field to toss a football during the game to win a BMW. Germain Toyota will also be giving away a Toyota pickup if the ‘Cats return a kickoff for a TD at a specific time.

The 3 Time National Champion Oakes Boys and Girls Club 4 on 4 "Let It Fly" flag football team will be on the field at half-time for an exhibition game. They won the championship in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

The 2004 ArenaCup Champion Florida Firecats return home this week to begin a 4 game home stand at Germain Arena starting with a highly anticipated rematch against the Manchester Wolves. The Firecats won the previous meeting 32-26 in overtime way back in week 2. The Firecats will have an opportunity to win the South Division, for the 2nd year in a row, and take a big leg up in the race for home field advantage in the American Conference throughout the post-season.
