HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Dec. 4, 2002) â The Huntsville Flight, as part of its monthly Heroes Among Us award series, will honor the Military Order of the Purple Heart veterans of World War II this Friday (Dec. 6) during its 7:30 p.m. contest against the Asheville Altitude. The presentation is part of the Salute to Military night at the Von Braun Center.
The Heroes Among Us award recognizes an individual or group who through their unique commitment and humanitarian spirit has made exceptional and lasting contributions to the local community.
