
Flight Looking For Those Looking To 'Be An All-Star'

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., January 13, 2003 â The Huntsville Flight is giving 3-point shooters and slam dunk artists in the area an opportunity to "Be An All-Star" this Wednesday (Jan. 15) at the Dr.. Richard Showers, Sr., Center (4600 Blue Spring Rd.) for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a weekend of festivities at the 2003 NBA All-Star Game in Atlanta.
The Flight is sponsoring a 3-point competition and a slam dunk contest, which features free registration and starts at 6 p.m. The top entrants of each competition advance to the finals on Feb. 1 at the Von Braun Center. The finals will be held in conjunction with the Flight's National Basketball Developmental League game against the Asheville Altitude. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
The winners of each competition the night of the Flight game will each be awarded two NBA All-Star Prize packages. Each package will contain a ticket to the All-Star Game, All-Star Saturday night, the Rookie and Sophomore game, NBA Jam Session and two social functions.
