Western New York Flash News Release

ELMA, N.Y. (Friday, June 19, 2015) - The Western New York Flash and the Houston Dash return from the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup break on Saturday night, as the two teams meet at BBVA Compass Stadium at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday's match will be streamed live on YouTube and can be watched by clicking the link here. Fans can also follow live play-by-play at the Flash's official Twitter page, @WNYFlash, and can join the conversation by using the hashtag #HOUvWNYF.

Western New York enters Saturday's meeting looking for its victory away from Sahlen's Stadium as the Flash (3-3-1, 10 points) have earned all three wins in Rochester, NY. Houston (2-2-4, 10 points) has not lost in its last four matches, with its only home victory thus far coming in the 2015 season opener.

In its previous game, Western New York handed top-seeded Chicago Red Stars its first loss of the season with a 3-1 victory at Sahlen's Stadium on June 6. Samantha Mewis broke the deadlock early into the second half and Elizabeth Eddy followed with her first professional goal to put the Flash up 2-0. Eddy also assisted on Mewis' score. Rookie Jamia Fields scored a laser in the 75th minute, making it 3-0.

Goalkeeper Chantel Jones earned her first victory of the season but, despite turning away a late penalty kick attempt, was unable to secure the shutout as the Red Stars scored in second-half stoppage time.

The Dash last played on June 6 as well, posting a scoreless draw with Portland Thorns FC.

Following Saturday's match, the Flash will remain on the road as it next faces the Boston Breakers on Sunday, June 28. It will be the second meeting between the two teams as the Flash previously defeated Boston 3-1 in Rochester. That game will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. ET at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium.
